Background
Jera Massage opened in 2003 and was run by A who continues to teach here today. Originally a massage treatment centre, in 2006 A started teaching classes as well as offering treatments. In 2009 Wi joined the business and they both now run the courses together.
About A
A was born in Chomtong, Chiang Mai and grew up with her family before moving to study in the city. She studied Information Technology at college and worked for just a year before deciding to become a masseuse and trained in the art of Thai massage at a temple in Chiang Mai for 3 months, which involved very intensive practices.
Later A added the other complimentary therapies of foot massage and oil massage including reflexology. She has been massaging for over 10 years and teaching for approximately 8 years and now works with Wi.
About Wi
Wi was born in the same village as A and they grew up together as friends from a very young age. She studied Marketing at university and graduated in 2005 and then worked with Innovex (Thailand) Limited for 4 years. She took volunteer redundancy 2009 and decided to go into partnership with A, so trained in the art of Thai massage at a temple in Chiang Mai, much in the same way as A. She has now been treating and teaching Thai massage and the complimentary therapies for 5 years.
